Just a quick post to let you know tons of our classmates are taking advantage of the early bird deals and buying tickets to the reunion now!
I just ordered mine, so get on it. It's going to be a great night. The committee has done a fantastic job hunting down classmates and letting them know the when and where. We still need your help in spreading the word and building momentum so post on Facebook, comment on this blog, or Tweet with campo90 in your message once you've purchased your tickets!
Here are the details again:
We've set the date for October 9, 2010!!! It will be Cougar Territory at 1515 Restaurant and Bar in Downtown Walnut Creek, which means the other kind of "cougars" will be temporarily displaced around town for the night;)
When you purchase tickets before September 15th they are only $50 (plus service fee) per ticket.
Party starts at 6 p.m. so get your dancing shoes ready...
We will increase ticket prices to $60/person (+ service fee) starting September 15th until October 1st at which point on-line ticket sales will end.
After October 1st, all ticket sales will increase to $75/person and can be purchased in person at 1515 on the day of the event.
We also have special rates at the Renaissance ClubSport (please refer to "Travelers" section) so make sure to book rooms early so we can continue late into the nite!
PS- sorry for any typos or misspellings, I have a 4 week old baby in the Lil LambSwing and I'm trying to type this post before she gets too fussy and I'm back on duty.

Deja Vu: Earthquakes are shaking things up in the Bay Area
The Campo Class of 90 Reunion Committee got together again yesterday and we're one step closer to announcing some big details about our reunion weekend. Until we have those details, I thought I'd share a little of the conversations from yesterday gathering at Jessica (Nevin) O'Dea's house.
EARTHQUAKES
The topic of recent earthquakes around California and the Bay Area (I didn't feel a single one), had us reliving stories about where we were when the big one of 89' hit. It's probably one of the first events in life where you remember exactly where you were. Our parents remember where they were when they learned Kennedy was shot and for us Generation X'ers it's all about the 89' Earthquake and 9/11.
So do you remember where you were? And with whom?
MY STORY
J Epps and I were at my parents house, ironically looking through one of my sister's yearbooks and determining that nothing REALLY exciting had happened during our high school years. When all of the sudden the shaking started and then the rolling, and finally the realization....we better get out of here!
From there ensued a very dramatic homecoming week that included power outages, school closures, and phone lines down. We were glued to the whopping 12 channels on TV providing updates on rescues in the Marina and people trapped in the Bay Bridge destruction.
So where were you and what do you remember about that week? Anyone at the A's /Giants World Series? Share your story in the comments section!
And then, click over the official Reunion Site. at www.campo90.myevent.com. Find your Profile under the Classmates section and Upload a new pic today. My picture is looking sad out there by itself people. Then you can also go to Photo Albums and upload pics from you and your friends from high school days to share.
The countdown is on, get involved! Forward the link to a friend that may not know we started this mission.
Until next time, cheers!

Official Reunion Site Up and Running
Hi All!
Thanks to Min Kim we have an official reunion website live! We promised to keep you in the loop about all of the reunion events and we are still working on dates and locations.
Just a reminder that our first priority is to gather current contact information on all of our classmates. We have some really outdated info on y'all, my own email address was about 4 companies ago. Log on to the website at www.campo90.myevent.com, find yourself and update your contact info so we can be sure to include you on important details.
Coming soon: Matt Cook will be uploading class photos of each of us to help put names to faces again–the old noggin ain't what it used to be after 20 years, especially if you went to Chico:)
Remember you can follow reunion updates from me on Twitter either by following me @reillyjacobs (warning you may get various marketing tips until I figure out the new Twitter lists feature) You can also create a search on twitter with hash tag #campo90.
Have a great weekend, more updates in the next few weeks!

Remember the Mock Rock Dance?
My days are likely numbered for working from home in my pjs' (probably TMI) but I thought I'd use the time to pull out the old yearbook and bring back a few memories. Page 10 of the 'ole Campanero is dedicated to the most popular dance of the year. Mock Rock.
Here is your chance to admit you were in a "Boy Band" or, what could have been, a Spice Girls competitor.
If so, please help us remember what songs you performed. The groups:
1) Slow Chidren at Play- must have been former crossing guards at JM
2) RCV not hard to remember who was in this group if you knew any of them well
3) Silver Bullet Band- did they perform Bob Seger or just drink C-
4) Six Pac- really? Teen Wolf was part of your group?
5) The Greasers- The only girl group of the night
6) 1 Up 2 Across- I have no idea what that is referring to
Remember the songs..post you recollections in the comments.

How do you inspire a graduating class that’s yearbook theme was “Why Bother”?
That was the question when 10 classmates got together after our lives have taken us all over the globe and back these past 19 years. What were we doing? Kicking off planning our 20-year Campo Class Reunion!
Who would have thought we’d recognize each other at first glance, possibly have even more in common, and have tons of fun in one afternoon talking about getting the gang back together. I mean the WHOLE gang–not just my gang or your gang or another gang.
We don’t have all the details yet, but we promise to plan a weekend next fall (Dates TBD) that includes:
• an opportunity to share a cocktail with an old friend
• possibly head back to our old stomping grounds on campus or take in a campo football game
• introduce family or spouses at a day time event
• opportunities to attend one event or attend them all
What we need right now is help spreading the word and building an invite list for the 262 classmates that shared our graduation stage.
While we build our event website and work out details, this facebook group called Campolindo Class of 1990 and this blog will serve as our primary communication channel. I’ll be tweeting updates from @reillyjacobs on twitter and using a hashtag #campo90 if you’d like to set a search and keep in touch that way. So bookmark this page and spread the word.
We promise:
This isn’t the 5 year where someone shows off a fancy business card, or the 10 year where you prove how much you still party (from what I heard), or the 15 year where you spent more time with a few people but still missed catching up with some important friends.
This is our 20-year reunion, and we’ve all been through a lot by now. No pretenses, we’ve survived: moving, traveling, dating, success, grad school, marriage, pregnancy, failures, career changes, cancer, grief, achievements, family, infertility, divorce, establishing home, economic highs and lows, war, earthquakes, and all around life-quakes. We’ve all changed and grown, so what do you say….will you meet me there?
Erin (Reilly) Jacobs
Your Reunion Committee:
J Epps- Jennifer French is working on building an updated email list, so contact
J at Jennifer-french@sbcglobal.net and send your email or a group of friends email.
Hap Eames, Jessica (Nevin) O’Dea, Tracy (Bernardini) Wisoner, Debbie (Shafer) Harley, Min Kim, Matt Cook, Soma (don’t make me spell her maiden name) McAndless, and Jen Kamian.
As we build a high level plan for the weekend there will be opportunities to join a committee or get more involved but right now we appreciate your confidence in us to get the ball rolling and keep things on schedule!
